Wheelwash Australia was established over 5 years ago and now has sales agents throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Wheelwash systems were adapted to cater for a climate very different to
the UK and complex logistics, involving large distance, were easily
overcome.
We
manufacture our own systems in Australia with the full backing of
technical support from the UK. We have products for construction
projects, tourist resorts and even a winery. Wheelwash now on Australia’s famous Fraser Island! A
Rhino system was recently installed on the world’s largest sand island
to help solve a salinity problem in this popular World Heritage Listed
tourist spot.
Fraser
Island is a few kilometres from Hervey Bay, off the Queensland coast.
Renowned for its magnificent rain forests, beautiful fresh water lakes,
dingoes and other abundant wild life, it is also famous for whale
watching.
The
Tourism Leisure Corporation which operates the two largest island
resorts, Kingfisher Bay and Eurong Beach, recently installed a Rhino at
Eurong Beach on the east coast, next to the island’s famous 75 mile
beach.
The Corporation runs its own fleet of 4-wheel drive tourist buses, which travel all over the island.
Due
to problems with rust and corrosion from the sand and seawater, each
bus driver was spending up to 40 minutes per day washing the vehicles
manually. Now the task is much more effectively completed by the Rhino
in just 30 seconds.
$1.3 Magnesium Mine Australia takes environmental protection very seriously - which is why the Rhino is so popular.
One
of Australia's largest civil engineering and construction groups,
Leighton Contractors, is using the Rhino at their site in Stanwell,
near Rockhampton in North Queensland.
Leighton is establishing a new magnesium mine for the Australian
Magnesium Corporation, a huge contract. When completed, the mine will
be one of the world's largest magnesium plants with an output of nearly
100,000 tonnes per annum.
